<p>The concept of rahmah in the Qur’an is a term rich in meaning and highly contextual. In Tafsir Fî Zhilâl al-Qur’an, Sayyid Quthb presents rahmah as a form of divine mercy and grace that encompasses all creation, yet is specifically bestowed upon those who believe, migrate, strive in God’s path, remain patient, and practice excellence (ihsan). This study adopts a qualitative approach through library research focused on verses containing the term rahmah. The analysis reveals that rahmah, as interpreted in this tafsir, encompasses spiritual, social, and existential dimensions, and serves as a key motivation for drawing closer to God through righteous deeds and sincere faith.</p> <p><strong>Abstrak</strong></p> <p>Lafadz rahmat dalam Al-Qur’an merupakan istilah yang sarat makna dan kontekstual. Dalam Tafsir Fî Zhilâl al-Qur’an, Sayyid Quthb menguraikan rahmat sebagai bentuk kasih sayang dan anugerah Allah yang mencakup seluruh makhluk, namun secara khusus diberikan kepada hamba yang beriman, berhijrah, berjihad, bersabar, dan berbuat ihsan. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi pustaka terhadap ayat-ayat yang mengandung lafaz rahmat. <p>The current formulation of the hudud theory is caused by the helplessness of the Muslim community, marked by dependence on religious leaders in resolving legal issues. The stagnation in the development of Islamic jurisprudence today is rooted in the passive attitude of society that overly reveres past religious authority without critical thinking. To overcome this deadlock, Muhammad Shahrūr introduced the paradigm of the 'Theory of Limits' (hudud) so that Islamic law has the flexibility to continually adapt to the demands of different times and places (li kulli zaman wa makan).</p> <p><strong>Abstrak</strong></p> <p>Rumusan teori ḥudūd yang ada saat ini disebabkan oleh ketidakberdayaan ummat yang ditandai dengan ketergantungan pada para pemuka agama mereka dalam menyelesaikan masalah hukum. Mandeknya perkembangan yurisprudensi Islam di masa kini berakar pada sikap pasif masyarakat yang terlalu mendewakan pendapat otoritas keagamaan masa lampau tanpa sikap kritis. Kondisi ini membuat syariat seolah kehilangan relevansinya terhadap dinamika zaman yang terus berubah. Guna mengatasi kebuntuan tersebut, Muhammad Syahrur memperkenalkan paradigma "Teori Batas" (hudud) agar hukum Islam memiliki fleksibilitas untuk terus beradaptasi dengan tuntutan ruang dan waktu yang berbeda (li kulli zaman wa makan).</p>Nidaul Islam

Melalui pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kepustakaan, penelitian ini menelusuri konteks historis yang melahirkan tradisi tafsir berorientasi perlawanan, mengidentifikasi tokoh-tokoh utama seperti Ahmad Hassan, KH Ahmad Sanusi, Mahmud Yunus, dan HAMKA, serta menganalisis bentuk respons hermeneutika mereka terhadap situasi kolonial. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa tafsir anti-kolonial muncul sebagai upaya mengartikulasikan nilai-nilai keadilan, kebebasan, dan penolakan terhadap ketidakadilan melalui penafsiran ayat-ayat Al-Qur’an. Para mufassir menggunakan pendekatan kontekstual untuk menyesuaikan pesan Al-Qur’an dengan kondisi sosial-politik umat Islam pada masa penjajahan. Tafsir tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai teks keagamaan, tetapi juga sebagai instrumen pembebasan yang berperan dalam membangkitkan kesadaran kebangsaan dan memperkuat gerakan perlawanan. <p><strong>Abstract</strong></p> <p>This study examines the development and spread of Hadith in the Sham region during the second century Hijri, using historical approaches and qualitative library research methods. The region of Sham was one of the important centers of the transmission and development of hadith science in the early days of Islam, supported by the presence of the companions of the Prophet Muhammad (saw) and by the role of the great scholars who spread Hadith in this region. This study found that companions disseminated the Prophet's hadiths through madrasas (Islamic educational institutions), using both oral and written methods. Among the scholars who pioneered the spread of Hadith in this region were Muadz bin Jabal, Abu Darda, and Ubadah bin Shamit. At this time, the codification of Hadith was also carried out by Muhammad bin Syihab al-Zuhri on the order of the caliph Umar bin Abdul Aziz. These books were then distributed to several regions.</p> <p><strong>Abstrak</strong></p> <p>Penelitian ini membahas perkembangan penyebaran hadis di kawasan Syam pada abad ke II Hijriah melalui pendekatan historis dan metode studi pustaka (library research) kualitatif. Kawasan Syam merupakan salah satu pusat penting transmisi dan perkembangan ilmu hadis pada masa awal Islam, yang didukung oleh keberadaan sahabat-sahabat Nabi Muhammad Saw, serta peran ulama-lama besar yang menyebarkan hadis di wilayah ini. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa proses penyebaran hadis-hadis nabi dilakukan oleh para sahabat melalui madrasah (lembaga pendidikan keislaman) dengan pembelajaran lisan dan tulisan. Di antara tokoh ulama yang menjadi pelopor penyebaran hadis di wilayah ini adalah Muadz bin Jabal, Abu Darda, dan Ubadah bin Shamit. Pada masa ini juga dilakukan pengkodifikasian hadis oleh Muhammad bin Syihab al-Zuhri atas perintah khalifah Umar bin Abdul Aziz. Kitab-kitab ini kemudian disebarkan ke beberapa daerah.</p>Amni Al

<p><strong>Abstract</strong></p> <p>This study examines the characteristics of a Qur'anic manuscript collection owned by K.H. T.B. Lathifoedin in Majalengka through historical, codicological, and textological perspectives. This manuscript represents an ancient document that has not yet been thoroughly studied. The lack of academic attention to the diversity of Qur'anic manuscripts in the Indonesian archipelago has resulted in many important manuscripts, such as this one, being underutilized as sources of knowledge. Therefore, the study of this manuscript is considered urgent in order to preserve historical data and safeguard the richness of Islamic cultural heritage, particularly in West Java. This research employs a qualitative method by combining a field study of the original manuscript with library research using a descriptive-comparative analysis approach. The findings reveal that, from a codicological perspective, the manuscript uses daluang paper as its medium and features naskhī, pharisa, and sulus scripts, although it lacks illumination and a colophon. From a textological perspective, the manuscript demonstrates a mixed rasm style dominated by imlā'ī elements, along with distinctive ḍabṭ features and waqf marks that differ from those found in modern standard Qur'anic texts. These findings confirm that the Qur'anic manuscript of K.H. T.B. Lathifoedin possesses unique characteristics that enrich the tradition of Qur'anic manuscript copying in the Indonesian archipelago. This study contributes significantly to the field of 'Ulūm al-Qur'ān and serves as an important reference for codicological studies of religious manuscripts in Indonesia.</p> <p><strong>Abstrak</strong></p> <p>Penelitian ini mengkaji karakteristik mushaf Al-Qur’an koleksi K.H. TB. Lathifoedin di Majalengka melalui tinjauan sejarah, kodikologi, dan tekstologi. Mushaf koleksi K.H. TB. Lathifoedin merupakan naskah kuno yang hingga kini belum pernah dikaji secara mendalam. Minimnya perhatian akademisi terhadap variasi mushaf Nusantara menyebabkan banyak naskah penting seperti ini belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal sebagai sumber pengetahuan. Pengkajian terhadap naskah ini menjadi sangat mendesak guna menyelamatkan data sejarah serta melestarikan kekayaan warisan budaya Islam, khususnya di Jawa Barat. Metode kajian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan menggabungkan studi lapangan pada manuskrip asli dan studi pustaka melalui analisis deskriptif-komparatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara kodikologis, mushaf ini menggunakan media kertas daluang dengan tipografi khat <em>naskhi, farisi</em>, dan <em>sulus</em>, namun tidak memiliki iluminasi maupun <em>kolofon</em>. Secara tekstologis, naskah ini menampilkan penggunaan <em>rasm</em> campuran yang didominasi unsur <em>iml</em><em>ā’ī</em>, lengkap dengan karakteristik <em>ḍabṭ </em>serta tanda waqaf yang berbeda dari standar mushaf modern. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa mushaf K.H. TB. Lathifoedin memiliki kekhasan yang memperkaya khazanah tradisi penyalinan Al-Qur'an di Nusantara. <p><strong>Abstract</strong></p> <p>This study examines the concept of ukhuwah (brotherhood) in the Qur'an through a thematic (maudhui) approach, encompassing three dimensions: ukhuwah islamiyah (brotherhood in faith), ukhuwah wathaniyah (brotherhood in nationality), and ukhuwah basyariyah (universal human brotherhood). These three dimensions are reflected against the local wisdom of Marimoi Ngone Futuru as the foundational philosophy of fraternity in North Maluku. Employing Al-Farmawi's thematic exegetical method with an analytical-integrative approach, this study finds that all three Qur'anic dimensions of ukhuwah share significant common ground with the philosophy of Marimoi Ngone Futuru, manifested in the traditions of Hibua Lamo, Pela Gandong, and communal cooperation (bari). The two are complementary: the Qur'an provides the theological-normative foundation, while Marimoi Ngone Futuru serves as an authentic medium of cultural contextualization. This study affirms that local wisdom and Qur'anic values can synergize to build sustainable social cohesion in North Maluku.</p> <p><strong>Abstrak</strong></p> <p>Penelitian ini mengkaji konsep ukhuwah dalam Al-Qur'an secara tematik (maudhui) yang meliputi tiga dimensi: ukhuwah islamiyah, wathaniyah, dan basyariyah, serta merefleksikannya dengan nilai persaudaraan Marimoi Ngone Futuru sebagai kearifan lokal Maluku Utara. Dengan menggunakan metode tafsir tematik Al-Farmawi dan pendekatan analitik-integratif, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa ketiga dimensi ukhuwah Qur'ani memiliki titik temu yang signifikan dengan filosofi Marimoi Ngone Futuru yang termanifestasi dalam tradisi Hibua Lamo, Pela Gandong, dan gotong royong (bari). Keduanya bersinergi secara komplementer: Al-Qur'an memberikan landasan teologis-normatif, sementara Marimoi Ngone Futuru menjadi medium kontekstualisasi kultural yang autentik. <p>This study examines the interpretative patterns of hadith within Sufi and juristic (fiqh) literature in relation to the values of religious moderation. The diversity of approaches in understanding hadith reflects different epistemological orientations which, if not integrated, may lead to partial interpretations. This research aims to analyze how hadiths are interpreted within Sufi and fiqh traditions and how these interpretations contribute to the construction of moderation values in Islam. This study is a qualitative library research employing a hermeneutical approach, particularly the double movement theory of Fazlur Rahman, to connect textual meaning with contemporary context. The data are derived from classical and contemporary Sufi and fiqh literature, focusing on the use and interpretation of hadith within these works. The findings show that differences in hadith interpretation between Sufi and fiqh traditions are not rooted in the substance of the teachings but in their methodological orientations. Sufi literature tends to interpret hadith in an ethical, symbolic, and reflective manner emphasizing inner transformation, while fiqh literature approaches hadith in a normative, systematic, and applicative framework focusing on legal and social order. However, these differences are not contradictory but complementary in representing the concept of religious moderation. This study further finds that moderation in hadith is a multidimensional construct formed through the integration of internal spiritual values and external normative principles. Therefore, an integrative approach that combines Sufi and fiqh perspectives is essential to achieve a comprehensive understanding of religious moderation in contemporary Islamic thought<strong>.</strong></p> <p><strong>Abstrak</strong></p> <p>Penelitian ini mengkaji pola interpretasi hadis dalam literatur tasawuf dan fikih dalam kaitannya dengan nilai-nilai moderasi beragama. Keberagaman pendekatan dalam memahami hadis mencerminkan perbedaan orientasi epistemologis yang, jika tidak diintegrasikan, dapat menghasilkan pemahaman yang parsial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana hadis diinterpretasikan dalam tradisi tasawuf dan fikih serta bagaimana interpretasi tersebut berkontribusi terhadap konstruksi nilai moderasi dalam Islam. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif berbasis studi kepustakaan dengan menggunakan pendekatan hermeneutika, khususnya teori <em>double movement</em> dari Fazlur Rahman, untuk menghubungkan makna tekstual dengan konteks kontemporer. Data diperoleh dari literatur tasawuf dan fikih klasik maupun kontemporer dengan fokus pada penggunaan dan interpretasi hadis dalam karya-karya tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan interpretasi hadis antara tradisi tasawuf dan fikih tidak terletak pada substansi ajarannya, melainkan pada orientasi metodologisnya. Literatur tasawuf cenderung menafsirkan hadis secara etis, simbolik, dan reflektif dengan menekankan transformasi batin, sementara literatur fikih memandang hadis secara normatif, sistematis, dan aplikatif dengan fokus pada aspek hukum dan keteraturan sosial. Perbedaan tersebut bukan bersifat kontradiktif, melainkan saling melengkapi dalam merepresentasikan konsep moderasi beragama. Penelitian ini juga menemukan bahwa moderasi dalam hadis merupakan konstruksi multidimensional yang terbentuk melalui integrasi antara nilai spiritual internal dan prinsip normatif eksternal. <p>This article examines the moral crisis and dehumanization of modern society through the Qur'anic concept of al-khusr. The imbalance between technological advancement and the cultivation of character has triggered moral, social, and spiritual degradation. Drawing on verses such as QS al-'Aṣr, al-A'rāf 179, and al-Kahf 103–104, this condition is interpreted as a multidimensional loss caused by the erosion of faith, righteous deeds, commitment to truth, and patience. Employing a qualitative method through library research and thematic exegesis, the study identifies Qur'anic verses related to al-khusr and evaluates their relevance to the contemporary moral crisis. The findings show that al-khusr is not limited to eschatological loss in the hereafter, but also encompasses the collapse of human existence, the disappearance of moral orientation, the weakening of spiritual awareness, and the deterioration of social order. A contextual interpretation indicates that the concept of al-khusr serves as a normative framework for diagnosing the roots of the moral crisis while offering a Qur'an-based direction for restoring human dignity.</p> <p><strong>Abstra</strong><strong>k</strong></p> <p>Artikel ini membahas krisis moral dan dehumanisasi masyarakat modernmelalui perspektif <em>al-khusr</em> dalam Al-Qur’an. Ketimpangan antara kemajuan teknologi dan penguatan karakter menyebabkan degradasi moral, sosial, danspiritual. Berdasarkan ayat-ayat seperti QS. al-‘Aṣr, al-A‘rāf 179, dan al-Kahf 103–104, kondisi tersebut dipahami sebagai kerugian multidimensi akibat hilangnya iman, amal saleh, komitmen pada kebenaran, dan kesabaran. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan studi kepustakaan dananalisis tafsir tematik untuk mengidentifikasi ayat-ayat terkait al-khusr dan menilai relevansinya terhadap kerusakan moral kontemporer. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa al-khusr bukan hanya kerugian akhirat, tetapi juga mencakup keruntuhan eksistensi manusia, hilangnya orientasi moral, melemahnya kesadaran spiritual, dan terganggunya tatanan sosial.
